I love Jay Smooth! His hip hop blog is great and I remember watching this and just chuckling. I don’t remember why, but its probably because he’s Jay Smooth.
I’m not exactly sure. He was recently on a panel about social media and fighting/ending racism at SXSW (South by Southwest) and he’s received some blogosphere coverage for it.
Jay Smooth started off as the host for the Underground Railround in a radio station in NY which was a show on hip hop culture and music. It was probably one of the best radio shows starting from the early 90′s, so when he started his hip hop blog… HipHopMusic, people jumped on it from across America and he just got even bigger. People who followed Hip Hop started following Ill Doctrine, which is his vlog about anything he finds interesting. He’s freaking huge in the Hip Hop world (a bit of an exaggeration) but yeah SXSW was big for… to be repetitive, Hip Hop this year and it get covered by all sorts of media.. (tech, politics, etc..) and he was there.
